Poised to become a mid-tier gold producer

Philip Kotze was appointed a Director of Great Basin Gold Limited in May, 2011. He is also a member of the Company’s Technical Committee.

Mr. Kotze is a mining engineer with more than 30 years’ experience, including both operational and executive positions at public companies such as AngloGold, Kalahari Goldridge and Harmony Gold. He is currently the CEO of Wits Gold. In 2007 Mr. Kotze initiated the formulation of a mining advisory service with Deloitte South Africa. He also served in the platinum industry as President and CEO of Anooraq Resources, listed in Canada, the USA and South Africa. A graduate of the University of Witwatersrand with a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mining Economics), he also holds a National Higher Diploma in Metalliferous Mining (WITS Technikon) and qualifications in Industrial Relations and Management from the University of South Africa.
